I have initiated a study on COVID-19 host genetics and how that relates to SARS-CoV-2 infection rate and levels, the immune response and the severity of the disease.

We are designing a genotyping panel for ACE2 and related gene variation, adding some key viral immunity genes. The initial design is for 60 variants. Depending on the sample availability (blood needed) we can also measure the host response by immune gene expression levels via the NanoString technology.

We are looking for samples for tested individuals (negative and positive). We can use leftover viral test samples, cheek swaps or other oral samples but preferably whole blood or buffy coat.
