iPathwayGuide™ – Multi-Omics Interpretation & Collaboration

iPathwayGuide™ is a cloud-based pathway analysis and enrichment-testing platform based on Advaita’s novel “Impact Analysis” algorithm. iPathwayGuide™’s simple graphical-user interface and intuitive functionality empowers anyone to conduct in-depth tertiary analyses, even without experience in bioinformatics. The platform can analyze any type of omics data and any size data set; It is used by academic researchers to speed up their research and cut costs on their way to publishing, as well as pharmaceutical companies in clinical trials assessing the validity of a drug.

iPathwayGuide™ uses the same rigorous classical statistics used by our competitors, but we extend the analysis to include critical biologically- relevant factors: magnitude and direction of gene expression change, type and function of protein(s) coded by the gene, position of the protein in the pathway, interactions with other proteins in the pathway, and regulatory mechanisms that impact protein abundance and function.

What is Impact Analysis?

Impact Analysis is Advaita’s proprietary pathway analysis approach that considers the topology of each pathway and uses a systems biology approach to provide a sensitive and accurate analysis, increasing the user’s ability to identify meaningful biological phenomena while avoiding false positive effects. Enrichment analysis simply identifies biological functions that are overrepresented in a group of genes; Enrichment analysis does not account for the role and position of proteins in a signaling pathway.

“iPathwayGuide™ is a cutting-edge tool for doing pathway analysis that very quickly gets you to relevant answers, and accelerates research, and publication. It is easy to interact with the reports. The reports are in a convenient online format and easy to share. And, it puts researchers and subject matter experts in the driver’s seat of interpreting their own data and takes that burden off of the bioinformatician. Yes, of course I would certainly recommend it from a cost, technological superiority and usability perspective.”

iPathwayGuide™ Benefits

  • Decreases the occurrence of false positives and false negatives (Genome Biology 2019)
  • Reduces time to discovery
  • Analyzes 100’s of datasets simultaneously
  • Reduces the cost per data set analyzed. When compared to IPA, iPathwayGuide™ is 75% less expensive on a per analysis basis
  • Eliminates wait time for analysis results (30 GB Gene lists can be analyzed in less than 15 minutes)

  • Automatically generates written reports with each analysis, decreasing time spent writing and preparing to publish

  • Automatically generates publication-ready graphics with every analysis run on the platform
  • Increases the quality of discoveries made from the data being analyzed

Foundational Differentiators

Meta Analysis

Compare up to 5 unique studies using meta-analysis. Users can integrate data of different data-types to identify common or unique traits, compare relative ranks, pinpoint plausible biomarkers and more. Pharmaceutical companies often use meta-analysis in clinical trials to compare patients across different time points as well as clinical profiles.

Cloud-Based Analysis

iPathwayGuide™ is cloud based, which speeds up analysis with the computing occurring in AWS rather than on personal computers. It also allows users to access their data from anywhere with an internet connection. The cloud also allows users to share their reports infinitely, with anyone, so long as the original user maintains a license; Users can share reports in the form of links, with a single click.

High Specificity Pruning

Evaluate the significance of Gene Ontology (GO) terms by starting with the most specific terms first. This method simplifies identifying significant specialized terms, such as “response to amphetamine,” which is more precise than “response to chemical.” This approach effectively navigates the GO hierarchy, pinpointing the lowest level of abstraction that includes significant GO terms for the given experiment.

iPathwayGuide™ Features

  • Identify putative mechanism(s) of action, upstream regulators, and downstream effects
  • Build and annotate novel networks based on experimental data
  • Customizable selection thresholds
